    Description

    The Manufacturing Engineer will lead and support New Product Development projects to establish optimized & sustainable processes for my client's growing set of product lines.

    This role will work cross-functionally across different engineering teams and will play a key role in supporting the continuing growth of the company, as they continue to chase new business and launch new products.

    My client is a global manufacturer of electronic products that have impactful, life-saving applications.

    Located in the Chicago suburbs, they are experiencing a period of growth, and thanks to their impressive customer base & high-tech products, they have ambitious plans for the future.

    Lead/participate in projects to improve processes, reduce downtime, and improve safety
    ~ 3D modeling for the design of plant floor layouts and setup of new machine cells
    ~ Implement new machinery and tooling for production as needed
    ~ Work cross-functionally with Quality and Product Engineering to support new product launches, perform PFMEAs, and address production issues
    ~ Play a key role on APQP team, ensuring feasibility and quality of manufacturing new products
    ~ BS in Engineering or Industrial Technology
    ~3+ years' experience in a manufacturing environment, exposure to electronics manufacturing/electrical assembly highly preferred
    ~ Experience leading and/or participating in continuous improvement projects
    ~ Comfortable/familiar in a fast-paced manufacturing setting
    ~ Discretionary annual bonus based on personal metrics and company performance
