    Description

    Overview:
    We are seeking a skilled Machinist to join our team.

    As a Machinist, you will be responsible for setting up and operating a variety of machine tools to produce precision parts and instruments.

    This is a full-time position with competitive pay.


    Responsibilities:

    • Set up and operate machine tools such as lathes, milling machines, grinders, and CNC machines to produce precision parts
    • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine machining operations
    • Calculate dimensions and tolerances using knowledge of mathematics and instruments such as micrometers and vernier calipers
    • Select the appropriate tools, machines, and materials to be used in preparation for machining operations
    • Monitor the feed and speed of machines during the machining process to ensure accuracy
    • Inspect finished parts to ensure they meet quality standards
    • Troubleshoot issues with machinery and perform maintenance tasks as needed

    Qualifications:

    • High school diploma or equivalent required; technical training or apprenticeship program preferred
    • Proven experience as a Machinist or similar role
    • Proficient in blueprint reading and interpreting technical drawings
    • Strong knowledge of machining techniques and processes
    • Familiarity with CNC programming and operation
    • Experience with electrical discharge machining (EDM) is a plus
    • Proficient in CAD software for creating or modifying designs
    • Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles is preferred
    • Ability to use power tools and precision measuring instruments accurately
