We are looking for a FEMA, Mitigation Program Lead to join our team.

Minimum Requirements:

• Minimum 5 years of experience as FEMA, Mitigation Program Lead
• Strong writing and communication skills
• Proficiency in Word, Excel, and familiarity with Microsoft Office Ecosystem
• Organized and detail-oriented
• Ability to multi-task and work independently
• The ideal candidate will be a dynamic team player, organized, and who communicates well with others.
• E-Builder experience a plus.

Duties:

• Ensures compliance with State and Federal Laws and Regulations
• Manages audit and accountability for Mitigation programs
• Represents the State in meetings, forums, conferences, and trainings
• Establish and maintain critical communications between federal, state, and local governments
• Provide on-site, field level or in-office oversight and management of the Hazard Mitigation (e.g. Hazard Mitigation Assistance, State Project Officers, State Program Disaster Representatives (PDAR), Disaster Assistance Managers (DAM), Disaster Assistance Officers (DAO), Public Assistance Specialists, etc.) to ensure proper processing of Programs.
• Provide management oversight to the State staff assigned to the field and work in coordination with the Joint Field Office (JFO) Liaison to ensure effective mission performance
• Support the JFO Liaison position and perform management level meetings and associated tasks in support of the Recovery programs.
• Be proficient in the use of FEMA Disaster Systems, including Grants Portal and EMMIE.
• Report to the DHSES leadership and supervisors as required or requested

Rate: Up to $62/hr + Expenses
