As the Director of Operations, you will manage and oversee overall company operations, from strategic planning to day-to-day leadership. Ideal candidates will have strong leadership skills and industry knowledge.

Support the processes and growth of various internal departments, including leadership, sales, carrier management, customer service, and support staff
Monitor the effectiveness of operations processes, ensuring accurate prioritization and timely improvements are made as needed
Responsible for setting and tracking KPIs, analyzing resulting data, and implementing process improvements in response to increase productivity, speed, order accuracy, and other logistics metrics
Strategize and develop new initiatives that support overall organizational goals
Prepare budgets for operations based on projected demand, assisting internal teams with the development of budgets and creation of department goals, helping to define success targets to evaluate their effectiveness
Coordinate with department leaders to determine the resources needed to accomplish their tasks and plans for obtaining resources that may not be available
Maintain high levels of communication and coordination with both senior leadership and employees, sustaining a strong culture of collaboration and customer-orientation
Other duties as assigned
Requirements
Minimum of 7 years work experience in the logistics industry
Experience in a supervisory or team management role is required
Experience using a TMS is required
Strong understanding of CRMs, pricing, and rating
Effective relationship building and team management skills that can be used to further develop and motivate teams
Highly collaborative team player with the ability to work effectively and professionally across all departments to build successful relationships
Strong communication skills
