    Description
    The Maintenance Supervisor will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of maintenance activities within our facilities. Reporting directly to the Maintenance Manager, the Maintenance Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing a team of up to 30, with the support of a Maintenance Lead to facilitate daily tasks. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong leadership abilities, technical expertise, and a commitment to safety and efficiency.

    ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Lead and motivate a team of maintenance technicians to ensure optimal performance and productivity.

    • Provide guidance, training, and mentorship to team members to foster skill development and career growth.

    • Responsible for executing the published maintenance schedule and identifying appropriate actions for scheduled maintenance misses.

    • Conduct regular performance evaluations and address any issues or concerns in a timely manner.

    • Oversee and coordinate all preventive maintenance (PM) activities to minimize downtime and maximize equipment reliability.

    • Collaborate with the maintenance planner to schedule maintenance tasks effectively, ensuring minimal disruption to production schedules.

    • Participate in creating and recommending improvements for equipment maintenance plans to optimize equipment performance and longevity.

    • Enforce safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment for all maintenance personnel.

    • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards governing maintenance operations.

    • Act as a point of contact for resolving technical issues and troubleshooting equipment failures.

    • Implement corrective actions to address root causes of equipment malfunctions and prevent recurrence.

    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and reliability.

    • Foster open communication and collaboration with other departments to prioritize maintenance activities and support production goals.

    • Coordinate with external vendors and contractors as needed for specialized maintenance tasks or equipment repairs.

    • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders, equipment histories, and accurate min/max inventory levels alongside relevant team members.

    QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

    • Associate degree or equivalent experience in mechanical field, industrial maintenance, or related field preferred.

    • Minimum of 5 years of experience in maintenance supervision or a similar role, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial environment.

    • Proven leadership skills with the ability to effectively manage and develop a diverse team.

    • Strong technical knowledge of maintenance principles, practices, and equipment systems.

    • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities, with a focus on root cause analysis.

    • Familiarity with computerized maintenance management systems (eMaint) preferred.

    • Solid understanding of safety regulations and protocols, with a commitment to promoting a culture of safety.

    • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact effectively at all levels of the organization.

    Highland Pellets Benefit Package:
