We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced *Diesel Mechanic to join our team in Poniac, Michigan.**Position Overview:

    As a Diesel Mechanic, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining diesel engines, trucks, and other heavy-duty vehicles.

    The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical aptitude, excellent problem-solving skills, and a passion for ensuring the reliability and efficiency of diesel-powered equipment.

    *Responsibilities:

    • Perform routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, filter replacements, and lubrication of engines and chassis components.
    • Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues using diagnostic tools and equipment.
    • Repair and rebuild diesel engines, transmissions, brake systems, and other major components.
    • Conduct thorough inspections to identify potential problems and recommend necessary repairs.
    • Complete service and repair records accurately and in a timely manner.
    • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and environmental guidelines.
    • Collaborate with team members to effectively prioritize tasks and meet deadlines. Qualifications:
    • High school diploma or equivalent; vocational or technical training in diesel mechanics preferred.
    • Proven experience as a Diesel Mechanic, with a minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience.
    • Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing diesel engines, including Caterpillar, Cummins, and Detroit Diesel.
    • Strong knowledge of diesel engine systems, hydraulics, and electrical systems.
    • Ability to use diagnostic software and equipment to troubleshoot complex issues.
    • Excellent attention to detail and ability to follow instructions and procedures.
    • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
    • ASE Certification(s) in diesel engine repair or related field preferred. Benefits:
