    As the Court Operations Lead, you will provide direction to the Clerk of the Superior Court (COSC) staff and assist supervisors and management with the completion of administrative duties, training, and research. You will also provide the public, legal community, courts, county, and other governmental agencies access to the judicial system and related public records, to allow them to pursue legal processes and/or obtain and maintain legal and financial records and information.

    We Require

    • Three years of legal, court, or justice system support-related experience
    • High school diploma or GED
    • Post-secondary education may substitute for one year of experience

    Job Contributions

    • Provide lead direction to staff by distributing and assigning incoming work, prepare and deliver training to staff and other member of COSC
    • Perform quality assurance inventory audits to ensure the highest quality standards and maintain statistical data for status reports; review and interpret court orders and initiate necessary action; update the inventory of sensitive items; ensure compliance with judicial orders
    • Research to determine eligibility of materials for release and/or disposal; perform complex research and respond to inquiries from internal and external customers; provide customer service telephonically, in person, and by email
    • Identify and notify appropriate parties and agencies of pending appeals; prepare and transmit the record on appeal
    • Ensure all documents are filed expediently and accurately and docketed in accordance with established procedures. Monitor systems to ensure there are no technical issues with document transmissions. Report issues to and work with IT to resolve concerns
    • Prepare statistical team reports which include assisting staff with goal setting for Clerk of Court standards and verify for accuracy of information and make necessary corrections as required
    • Manage a variety of internal team in-boxes and folders containing questions, and requests, and ensure compliance with court orders
    • Complete daily deposits and cash drawer counts and has a familiarity with minimum accounting standards (MAS). * Dependent on division assignment

    Working Conditions

    • Work is primarily performed in an office setting that consists of a high-volume and fast-paced environment
    • Requires travel to and from job-related locations during the course of a scheduled workday, subject to County policies regarding use of County vehicles and/or private vehicles used on County business
    • Requires long periods of sitting while completing computer activities
    • Ability to lift boxes or other items up to 20 pounds and carry, push or pull from one courthouse to another
