    Overview


    TRC is looking for an experienced Senior Bridge Engineer/Project Manager to join our team in West Virginia, Ohio or Pennsylvania.

    The successful candidate MUST have experience working on DOT bridge projects and must be a Registered PE.

    The Senior Bridge Engineer/Project Manager will be responsible for leading a design team(s), performing complex calculations and design tasks, develop plans, details, specifications, quantities, cost estimates and schedules for various new structures and rehabilitation projects, including highway and railroad bridges, culverts, retaining walls and other structural elements.

    Projects include Design-Bid-Build and Design-Build/P-3 project delivery methods.

    An ideal candidate will be enthusiastic in working with other engineers, project managers, and other technical staff throughout the company.

    This is a flexible home/office hybrid position

    Responsibilities

    Be involved in all project aspects including design/study development and site/field visits during design and construction.

    Efficiently oversee the production of quality deliverables including plans, specifications, reports and cost estimates, while meeting project scope, budget, and schedule on multiple concurrent projects.

    Establish and maintain effective working relationships with other employees, clients, and public agencies.

    Ability to delegate design tasks, coordinate with various disciplines involved in complex projects and work with design teams in other offices and/or states.

    Develop and mentor junior and mid-level staff to develop future project managers and design leads.
    Ability to provide QA/QC on bridge/structural design projects.

    Ability to assist in marketing efforts to pursue future work, letters of interest, presentations and developing scopes of work and fee proposals.

    Qualifications

    The successful candidate MUST have experience working on DOT projects and must be a Registered PE.

    An ideal candidate will be enthusiastic in working with other engineers, project managers, and other technical staff throughout the company.

    Being a team player is an absolute requirement.

    Additional Requirements:
    B.S. or M.S. degree in Civil Engineering.
    15+ years of proven structural design/project management experience.
    DOT experience required.
    Professional Engineer License.
    NBIS Certified Bridge Inspector is a plus.

    Experience using structural engineering design and analysis software to prepare engineering and design documents for TS-L studies, Preliminary Design, and Final Design of bridge projects.

    Able to serve as Structural Task Leader on a project, to assist in the planning and execution of structural engineering tasks associated with transportation projects.

    Experience and proficiency in the design and analysis of new and the rehabilitation of prestressed concrete and structural steel bridges.

    Experience in the design of bridge elements including but not limited to bearings, deck joints, deck drainage, abutments, piers, culverts, and retaining walls.

    Familiarity with drafting software such as MicroStation is preferred.
    Working knowledge of Microsoft Office tools including Word and Excel.
    Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
    Must be flexible, well organized, accountable, and dependable.
