What You'll Do Day-To-Day
Perform standard and non-standard engineering assignments typically in areas of design, development, analysis, evaluation, testing, preparation of specifications, execution of field tasks resolution of field problems and resolution of quality events.
Ensure compliance with government regulations, organization, industry and customer engineering standards with support of senior staff.
Independently evaluate, select and apply standard technical techniques, procedures, and criteria using judgement in making minor adaptations and modifications for tasks previously performed.
Mechanical Design engineer for design of commercial nuclear fuel handling equipment, for projects ranging from small to large.Complete mechanical design and engineering assignments required to implement the contract within budget/schedule for assigned projects.
Implements and follows through to completion a solution to address client's needs.
Oversee fabrication of designs and construction of equipment.
Writing support documentation for equipment per the customer contract
What You'll Bring
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering.
Dependent on the position, degrees in Physics, Engineering Technology and Engineering Science may also be accepted.
Minimum of 2 years of related experience.
Knowledge of related engineering standards, techniques and criteria.
Advanced level of specific software tools (CAD, FEA, CFD) and programming skills.
Mechanical Design Project Experience.
SolidWorks experience or other solid modeling tools and drawing creation.
Superb written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to take direction and work with minimal supervision.
Understanding of design for fabrication, maintenance, installation, etc.

Salary:
$88,000 - $95,000 , and may also include annual incentives and performance bonuses. The base salary range is a guideline. Individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, competencies and work location.
