We are a family-owned transportation company seeking a dependable Light Duty Trailer Mechanic / Tractor Trailer Mechanic to join our fleet maintenance team in Marion, IL.This position focuses on light duty Truck & trailer repair, preventive maintenance (PMs), and road service to keep our commercial vehicles safe, compliant, and on the road..
Responsibilities
- Perform light duty mechanic work on tractor trailers and semi-trailers
- Complete Truck & trailer repair tasks including: Tire replacement and wheel ends
Trailer lighting systems and electrical troubleshooting
Trailer traps landing gear and basic mechanical repairs
Preventive maintenance services PMs Assisting with DOT inspections safety inspections Responding to road calls/road service to repair equipment off-site as needed Performing basic diagnostics documenting maintenance records Maintaining a clean safe organized shop environment Working closely with other mechanics fleet personnelJob description
