    BayCare is currently in search of our newest Acute Occupational Therapist who is passionate about providing outstanding customer service to our community. Founded in 1916, Morton Plant Hospital was the first hospital built in northern Pinellas County. Known for advanced medical technologies, cutting-edge clinical research and outstanding patient care, Morton Plant Hospital is nationally recognized as a leader in the field. The 599-bed facility provides highly technical and specialized care to more than 50,000 patients annually and works in more than 50 specialty areas.

    Occupational Therapist responsibilities:

    • Evaluates and develops specific treatment programs for individual patients/residents based on their needs and in accordance with the principles and practices of occupational therapy.
    • Responsible for providing the appropriate level of clinical direction for Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants, Rehabilitation Technicians, Fitness Specialists, Massage Therapists, Occupational Therapy and Occupational Therapy Assistant students and volunteers.
    • A supervising licensed Occupational Therapist may only supervise 1 permittee at any given time.

    Requirements:

    • BLS (Basic Life Support)
    • OT (Occupational Therapy)
    • Or OT (Occupational Therapy) Eligible to obtain
    • Required Bachelor's Occupational Therapy
    • Preferred 1 year Occupational Therapy
    Facility:

    BayCare Health System, Rehab Services Main-MPH

    Location: Morton Plant Hospital, Clearwater, FL

    Status: Full Time, Exempt: No

    Shift Hours: Five 8 hour shifts or 4 10 hour shifts

    Shift 1 = Days

    Weekend Work: Occasional

    On Call: No
