    Description


    Summary You will serve as an EQUAL EMPLOYMENT SPECIALIST in the Office of Equal Employment Opportunity (OEEO) of ASSTSECNAV M-RA WASHINGTON DC.

    Responsibilities You will review, evaluate and analyze discrimination complaint cases submitted to OEEO for final agency action, including the investigative records and additional data as necessary.

    You will conduct examinations and analysis that include a review of case records for the nature and scope of the complaint including personnel actions, working conditions, and conduct analysis of patterns of discrimination in the workforce.

    You will determine whether the field EEO offices have properly applied applicable laws, Executive Orders, legal decisions, regulations, procedures and policies relative to each case.

    You will prepare decision letter(s) determining the merits of the complaint, either granting or denying the complaint and direct the appropriate remedial action.

    You will respond orally and in writing to inquiries from internal and external customers and other sources regarding cases and assigned projects, and may be called upon to respond to inquiries concerning cases and other matters.

    You will interpret, analyze and apply EEO Commission and Federal laws, statutes, regulations, policies, practices and procedures, draft policy and regulatory interpretations, and disseminate DON guidelines and reporting requirements.

    Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.


    Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:

    reviewing and analyzing discrimination complaint cases; preparing and drafting decision letters; recommending remedial actions; Develop and disseminate command policies, procedures, interpretations and guidelines to implement and comply with governing laws and regulations.

    Perform data analysis of affirmative employment and disability programs.
