    Nevada Department of Transportation Information Technology Division is recruiting for a Business Process Analyst 1 Underfill located in Carson City, NV.

    This position will analyze business processes to ensure IT systems provide efficiencies to the Department through automation.

    NDOT is an Agile office, and the position will develop project intake business cases, backlog user stories, and business process flows including the documentation of input and outputs, and relationships for improved systems design.

    This position will have specialized knowledge to act as a guide and lead the business through unknown or unmapped territory, to get it to its desired destination and support IT systems as a subject matter expert on specific systems that support the business and their work processes.

    Effective oral and written communication skills are a must since this position will consult with project sponsors and end users in gathering business, functional and non-functional requirements and aligning them with technical requirements.

    In addition, the BPA 1 will be responsible for test systems functionalities, work with the business to gain in-depth knowledge of processes and create and implement the framework and standards for documenting business processes and flows.

    To Qualify:

    In order to be qualified, you must meet the following requirements: Education and Experience (Minimum Qualifications)Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in business, public administration, management information systems, or other disciplines related to the assignment and one year of professional experience analyzing and interpreting program laws, regulations, policies and procedures, which included experience applying recognized data processing concepts to business process planning and analyses; OR an equivalent combination of education and experience as described above.

    A valid driver's license or evidence of equivalent mobility is required at the time of appointment and as a condition of continued employment.
