    Description
    PrideStaff is currently seeking a Shipping Picker/Packer for a manufacturing company located in Rancho Cucamonga, CA. This is a full-time, contract to permanent position with opportunity to grow. Please see job requirements below to be considered.
    • Pay Rate: $17.00 to $18.00 hourly to start
    • Shift: Monday - Friday 5:00am to 9:00am to 5:30pm
    Summary
    Picker/Packers are a crucial role during shipment preparation. The most important duties of a Picker/Packer are pulling product from inventory and preparing orders for shipment, making sure products are correct, in good condition and packed sufficiently to avoid damage in shipping, maintaining inventories, counting quantities, and reporting to management. The ideal candidate showcases in his or her resume attention to details, accuracy, time management, and teamwork.

    Duties and Responsibilities

    Tag, mark or label orders as required or requested
    Ensure shipments are accurate and free of damage
    Ensure that the correct number and type of product is loaded and shipped with carriers and freight forwarders
    Conduct physical inventories as required
    Efficiently pick customer orders for shipment ensuring that the correct part number and quantity is pulled, packed and shipped
    Responsible for the completeness and correctness of orders filled
    Pack orders in best manner to protect during shipment and weigh final packages for shipment
    Maintain a clean, neat and orderly work area
    Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
    Must be able to read and count accurately, do simple math, and write legibly
    Must be capable of sitting, standing and walking for extended periods of time
    Fast paced in shipping warehouse conditions
    The ability to follow directions is extremely important
    Computer knowledge is helpful, especially FedEx and UPS Ship Managers.
    No forklift experience is required as responsible person will not be driving the forklift.

    Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required

    High School Diploma or equivalent
    Computer knowledge is helpful, especially FedEx and UPS Ship Managers

    Skills and Competencies

    Must be able to read and write legibly, count accurately, do simple math
    The ability to follow directions is extremely important

    Compensation / Pay Rate (Up to): $ $18.00 Per Hour
