    Hillman/Tailman for Pipe Crew


    The Hillman/Tailman is an essential member of the pipe crew, working closely with the Pipelayer and Equipment Operator to safely and efficiently install underground utility systems.

    • Assist the Pipelayer in placing and aligning RCP, HDPE, and PVC pipe sections to grade and line.
    • Maintain proper pipe jointing, gasket installation, and lubrication as directed.
    • Check grades and elevations using laser or level rods under the direction of the Foreman.
