Summary of Key Responsibilities:

• Accurately and efficiently prepare sushi following portion sizes and quality standards
• Provide training and guidance to team members on sushi culinary procedures
• Present all food items per sushi outlet standards
• Maintain quality control of products served
• Assist in preparing banquet event orders
• Adhere to cleanliness and sanitation regulations
• Maintain adequate food product levels at stations
• Portion food products according to specifications
• Keep work station clean and sanitary
• Prepare food items for cooking
• Follow proper plate presentation and garnish set up
• Handle, store, and rotate products properly
• Assist in food prep during off-peak periods
• Close kitchen properly following checklist
• Attend employee meetings and contribute improvement suggestions
• Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years' experience in kitchen preparation and line cook
• Basic understanding of professional cooking and knife handling
• Knowledge of food costs
• Understanding of kitchen safety and sanitation
• Availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays
• Clear communication skills with team members and managers
• Model and act in accordance with guiding principles
