Job Summary:

The Minnesota Department of Agriculture is seeking Forest Pest Surveyors to conduct annual Spongy Moth Trapping Surveys.
This job will involve assembling and placing up to 800 cardboard detection traps in various locations throughout the state.
Surveyors will also collect data using a GPS-enabled tablet and report daily to a lead worker.
A reliable vehicle is necessary for driving survey routes,
and mileage is reimbursed at the current Federal rate..
  • This position requires working full-time during trap placement and removal periods
  • There will be unpaid leave between these periods
  • Survey staff work when needed, typically Monday through Thursday from 7:00am to 5:30pm
