    • The ideal candidate is someone who is passionate and interested in the arts/larger creative arena or is eager to learn. Previous experience and a background within the commercial art world is not required.

    About the Opportunity:

    Business Associate | $65-75k

    • The Chief Operating Officer oversees the global operations of the gallery including exhibition programming; real estate legal and insurance matters; strategic expansion and related initiatives and manages staff across all locations. This position will directly support these efforts.

    What you'll do:

    • Liaises with all gallery departments and locations on a variety of issues including exhibitions special projects expenses and budgets and ensures all documents are in order prior to COO's review
    • Reviews and negotiates contracts for gallery transactions, partnerships and other department needs
    • Manages gallery-wide insurance policies and renewals, with assistance from COO
    • Manages all NY-based leases and leads all lease renewals, with assistance from COO
    • Updates COO on status of projects and other relevant issues
    • Works closely with David Zwirner's executive office
    • Compiles and tracks exhibition budgets and reconciliation
    • Provides light administrative support including arranging travel and scheduling both internal and external meetings and meeting preparation
    • Additional tasks and projects as requested

    What we would like you to have:

    • BA in Art History Art Business or similar is a plus
    • 3+ years of art industry experience preferred
    • Candidate must be focused, reliable and have an interest in art business
    • Candidate needs to be quick able to multitask and prioritize
    • Must be able to work and communicate well with team members at all levels
