    The role


    Due to business growth, we're looking for an experienced Employee Relations and Engagement Manager to join our busy People Team.

    You can choose to work from our London, Bath or Manchester offices, and you'll have plenty of hybrid and flexibility options.


    Reporting directly to the VP People and working closely with the People Operations Manager, People and Culture Manager (APAC), and Talent Coordinator, you'll take the lead on all employee relations and engagement matters, supporting c.

    150 employees (plus c. 25 summer students and interns) across the UK and US to create a well-balanced employee experience.

    Day to day, this is what you'll be doing:

    Building out and maintaining a full suite of global employment policies, procedures, and guidance documents, in collaboration with key stakeholders across the business


    Actively creating a great employee experience from candidacy to exit by contributing to standard people processes such as onboarding, offboarding, contract changes, performance reviews, pay reviews, training and development, etc.

    Advising employees and managers on ER matters when required, and forward-thinking any changes to employment law or practice which may affect Netcraft's approach or operations

    Managing individual ER matters when required such as performance, capability, grievance, disciplinary, PIDA, etc., to support all parties and ensure appropriate outcomes

    Providing individualised support for employees who may be going through difficult times (if you are already a certified MHFA, even better)


    Taking a leading role in the Ally Network and promoting ED&I awareness and good practice throughout the business, including running awareness events at key points during the year such as International Women's Day, Black History Month, etc.

    Helping to create and coordinate company events for the UK and US such as summer socials, Christmas dinners and the annual company kick-off

    Managing immigration requirements such as Right to Work checks, visa sponsorship, etc.


    Maintaining impeccable records in BambooHR – Netcraft's HRIS – and collaborating with the wider People Team on global projects such as compensation and benefits, talent development and organisational design.

    To be successful, you'll need:
    Previous experience as a specialist ER Manager across a range of sectors and companies (even better if you have generalist skills as well as your ER specialism)

    Previous proven experience in the Engagement sphere, and the ability to interpret an employee profile and apply effective engagement strategies that fit their needs

    Exceptional relationship-management skills and the ability to communicate clearly and sensitively

    A high standard of written English, able to write concise, accurate and engaging text

    Demonstrable ability to manage multiple concurrent projects/tasks with a high level of detail and deliver them on time

    A strong understanding of employment law and practice, and ideally a good knowledge of immigration law

    A responsive, thoughtful and balanced approach, with the ability to weigh up legal, practical and ethical factors and arrive at the right solutions for individual situations, rather than just 'following the process'

    A pro-active, solutions-focussed approach and a sense of humour (after all, the job involves dealing with people)

    Bonus points if you have:
    Experience of working in the tech / SaaS sector, and high-growth environments

    CIPD Level 7 and/or qualifications or evidence of CPD in employee relations / employment law / employee engagement
