POSITION SUMMARY:

The Senior Staff Accountant will cover monthly close activities with a focus on accounting for outsourced vendor contracts for clinical areas.

The individual will collaborate with the Accounting Manager on a variety of projects and activities, including support of the annual audit and assisting with strategic and functional initiatives.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Prepare and post monthly general ledger journal entries, including accrualsPrepare monthly balance sheet reconciliationsMaintain Fixed Asset module of ERP systemProcess Bi-Weekly PayrollReview cash entries and payables posted by the AP ClerkPrepare monthly bank reconciliationsAssist with accounting process implementation and improvementMaintain and strengthen internal control and safeguards for non-inventory, fixed assets, and other accounting areasDevelop and maintain models for clinical activities by working with the operational teams, reviewing contracts and general ledger activityCoordinate required information for both quarterly and annual audits, as well as annual tax returnsAssist stock equity administrator, as neededExperience using NetSuiteOther duties, as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS
:

Requires a BS degree in Accounting with a minimum of 5 years of experience in pharma/biotech finance roles and/or public accounting; CPA is preferredExperience using an accounting ERP system, such as NetSuite and ADP workforceAbility to multi-task, prioritize and problem solveStrong organizational skillsAttention to detail and accuracy of work performedCollaborative working style, ability to foster effective working relationships within a team environmentAbility to communicate with a wide range of individuals and constituencies in a diverse community
