    Job Description:

    SCOPE:
    Provide clinical support to the physician(s) to ensure delivery of quality patient care.

    The lead nurse, in collaboration with the clinic manager, will implement standardization of processes throughout the organization related to quality measures, best practices and infection control.

    In addition, duties include training and oversight of nursing competencies throughout the clinic to ensure the continuity of care.


    FUNCTIONS:

    • Nursing Service Operations
    • Patient education
    • Personnel Management
    • Administration / Policies and Procedures
    • Infection Control

    QUALIFICATIONS:
    Minimum of 5 years general nursing experience required

    Oncology and supervisory experience highly preferred.

    RN, Louisiana State Board of Nursing license and BLS CPR required;

    OCN required within 2 years of attaining position.


    SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE:
    Chemotherapy administration, Medication and IV administration; patient assessments; information related to care of oncology and hematology patients.
