    **Description**

    he Shift Supervisor is a member of the Site Management Team. Primarily responsible for the daily management and supervisory control of Group Living operations under the supervision of the Program Director. Ensures ROP programs are being implemented in accordance with ROP policies and procedures and Federal, State and Local licensing requirements. Supervises Group Leaders and other staff as appropriate.

    **ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:**

    Exercises supervisory responsibility for daily Group Living Operations.

    Serves as the site RAC in the absence of the Program Director, and Directors of Group Living/Student Services.

    Oversees and monitors the facility and daily schedules to ensure all students and staff are in compliance and on time for all program elements.

    Monitors and supervises site operations throughout the day to ensure safety and security of staff and students and proper supervision is maintained.

    Oversees weekend student visits to ensure Rite of Passage policies and procedures are maintained.

    Assists with Pre Service Training when necessary and provides on-going training related to operational or student issues when needed.

    Ensures proper safe physical management techniques are followed at all times and assists other staff with emergency situations.

    Provides management and leadership knowledge, skills and abilities to supervised staff and all other staff.

    Completes required reports and advises of any problematic situations.

    **QUALIFICATIONS:**

    ROP employees currently in this position and internal candidates being considered for an open SS position must have a BA/BS in a related field or actively pursuing a degree. External candidates must have a BA/BS in a related field.

    Three to five years of experience in a residential treatment facility setting

    A working knowledge of the Positive Peer Culture behavior modification program

    A working knowledge of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy

    Leadership abilities, communication skills and computer literacy

    Passing scores on applicable training exams

    Demonstrated ability to manage multiple people and projects.
