    Looking for a Senior Technology Consultant for Fort Worth, TX. office location:

    The Senior Technology Consultant leads the design of communication systems, structured cabling, audiovisual systems, and security systems on large construction projects. This position is responsible for project drawings, specifications, consulting, pricing, and staffing so that projects are produced on time, within budget, and of the highest technical quality. Experience in healthcare design and construction is highly recommended.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Performs project management duties for the team on assigned projects through the establishment and management of the project plan, which is made up of team man-hour budgets, the project schedule, and QA/QC
    • Develops the design approaches and concepts on assigned projects
    • Develops proposals, narratives, specifications, and presentations for clients
    • Creates the project budget and prioritizes spending based on forecasted costs of technology and client needs
    • Performs specific engineering studies and design analyses such as load calculations, conduit fill ratios, and growth percentages
    • Ensures that company technical policies and procedures are practiced during the execution of projects
    • Reviews shop drawings, records changes, and provides feedback to designers based on project specifications
    • Maintains frequent communication with the owner, architect, and contractors
    • Conducts site visits during construction to monitor progress and ensure conformance to design specifications, owner expectations, and building codes
    • Actively participates in professional organizations and/or client groups where the technical reputation and image of the firm may be enhanced
    • Maintains a focus on keeping up with industry trends and changes with continued self-education and training
    • Mentors and trains less experienced colleagues
    • Acts and performs activities inside and outside the office consistent with ethical engineering standards

    An ideal candidate will possess the following requirements:

    • Bachelors degree in Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, or relevant degree AND eight years of applicable experience OR twelve years of direct experience in the design, application, and/or administration of low voltage systems
    • Registered BICSI, RCDD preferred but not required
    • Thorough knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (i.e., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook)
    • Thorough knowledge and understanding of low voltage systems such as nurse call, audio visual, public address, security, phone systems, etc.
    • Knowledge and understanding of NEC, NESC, NFPA, FGI, BiCSi TDMM and other industry related codes and standards
    • Knowledge of federal, state, and local construction laws and regulations
    • Basic accounting knowledge and how to create and maintain budgets
    • Interpersonal Skills ability to interact positively and work effectively with others
    • Comprehension ability to understand information, ideas, and direction presented in writing and/or verbally communicated
    • Written Communication Skills ability to clearly deliver a message through written words using correct grammar, spelling, and punctuation
