    Amazon Web Services (AWS) internships are full-time (40 hours/week) for 12 consecutive weeks during summer.

    We design and build every component of our hardware and software to come together into products that our customers use for accelerated computing:
    either Machine Learning acceleration, or FPGA acceleration.


    As a member of the Cloud-Scale Machine Learning Acceleration team, you will be responsible for the development, testing and delivery of hardware in our data centers including technologies such as AWS Inferentia and Tranium.

    Key job responsibilities


    • Be involved in the development and validation of AWS Machine Learning Servers
    • Enable and maintain mass volume production testing, working with our ODMs and JDMs to verify stable high-quality execution
    • Drive ODM and JDM deliveries to ensure production manufacturing quality
    • Identify and develop tests needed to enhance coverage and increase failure granularity.
    • Debug test hardware and software used for system level and server level mass production

    Basic Qualifications


    • Enrolled in a Bachelors' degree program or higher in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field with a graduation conferral date between December 2024 and September 2025
    • Coursework or prior internship experience developing code using hardware communication interfaces (UART, SPI, JTAG, PCIe, etc.)
    • Coursework or prior internship experience in design for test (DFT)
    Preferred Qualifications


    • Experience or previous technical internship(s) with C++, Python, BASH, LUA or other scripting language
    • Experience or previous technical internship(s) working in a UNIX environment
    • Experience or previous technical internship(s) working with fully integrated software/hardware systems, customer usage server functionality
    • Experience or previous technical internship(s) interfacing with JDM or ODMs operations
    • Experience or previous technical internship(s) debugging high speed interfaces such as PCIe
    • Familiarity with flashing hardware components in server chassis (BMC, BIOS, CPLD, etc)
