    Aiken Physicians Alliance offers Primary Care, Cardiology, General Surgery, Gastroenterology, Orthopedics, Neurology, Neurosurgery, Pulmonology and Urology Care. You will work with a Care Team of physicians, advanced practitioners and staff providing compassionate and quality care.

    Reporting to the Practice Manager, the Medical Assistant position is responsible for performing a wide variety of patient care duties and assisting with the overall workflow of the physician/medical practice.


    Assist with daily clerical operations, including answering multi-phone lines and making copies of documents as necessary.
    Ensures that patient rooms are kept stocked and clean; also ensures that equipment is kept clean.

    Pre-authorize prescriptions and clinical tests (CT, MRI, Ultrasound, etc.) Accurately performs a variety of clinical testing, including ekg, holter monitors, PFT, stress test, PAP, ear irrigations, 02 sats, vision/color charts, and urinalysis/hemocult tests.

    Required Knowledge, Skills, Licensure, Training & Travel Requirements

    Medical Assistant certificate required, or must obtain certification within six (6) months of employment
    Medical Assistant Certificate of Completion and/or one year experience as a Medical Assistant
    Familiarity with medical terminology required
    Proficiency in basic computer programs and operating systems, such as Microsoft Office
    Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred
