MILIEU COUNSELOR II- KITCHEN

Full-time position as part of the Kitchen Program in our Adolescent Residential setting.

Wellspring is looking for a skilled counselor to lead the kitchen program and create a nurturing environment at our Adolescent Residential Program.

• Experience and interest in kitchen operations within a therapeutic setting.
• Proficiency in cooking for large groups in non-institutional environments.
• Knowledge and experience in nutrition, collaborating with a nutritionist for healthy meal planning.
• Ability to maintain positive relationships with vendors and health department officials.
• Willingness to teach cooking skills to residents and staff.
• Previous experience in training or supervising others is a bonus.
• Possession of Serve Safe Certification or willingness to obtain it.

BA/BS in Psychology or related field preferred, although a two-year degree with relevant experience will be considered.

Located in Litchfield County, Wellspring and the Arch Bridge School support individuals and families in addressing emotional, psychological, and educational challenges. Our range of programs includes support for mood, anxiety, personality, attachment, attention, and eating disorders, as well as family, school, and relational issues.

We provide Girls, Adolescent and Adult Residential programs, Outpatient Services, and the Arch Bridge School, a therapeutic school for residential and day students.

Requirements:

A BA/BS in Psychology or related field is preferred, while a two-year degree (or equivalent) with therapeutic work experience is also acceptable. Prior experience with adolescent girls is advantageous. Learn more about Wellspring programs and the application process on our website.
