Until Filled Description: The person selected for this temporary position will be responsible for assisting a classroom teacher with instructional tasks and in the general supervision of the children. This individual shall perform any combination of the following duties in the classroom to assist teaching staff: take attendance; grade (using answer sheets) and record results; duplicate materials; and, distribute teaching materials to students, such as textbooks, workbooks, paper, and other materials needed. The summer school aide will also be responsible for assisting the teacher in maintaining an orderly, safe environment within school and on school grounds.

The aide must have a warm and friendly personality, be sensitive to the feelings and needs of others, be able to relate well to children and staff, and be willing to take initiative and fulfill all responsibilities in accordance with the school's educational philosophy.

Note: Applicants 16 years old or younger must obtain a work permit from the high school they attend.
