    communications partner for the

    CEO,

    helping to

    leverage

    the CEO'

    s

    voice

    and vision

    as part of

    raising the organization

    's

    brand awareness and

    advancing

    its

    strategic

    objectives

    .

    Reporting to the Chief Communications Officer,

    this

    role

    essentially serves

    as publicist for the
    CEOand

    will create and execute a multi-channel executive thought leadership strategy, with a focus on national

    event opportunities. Th

    e Executive Communications Manager

    will also

    work closely with the entire C-suite as need

    s and opportunities arise

    . T

    collaborates

    with

    communications

    colleagues to ensure that

    executive

    messages and content are aligned with broader communications strateg

    ies

    and media plans.

    Responsibilities

    Create

    and execute communications strategies

    fo

    r the
    CEOthat align with organizational priorities

    , in close coordination with the CCO and Director of PR.

    Use pre-existing relations

    hips

    to a

    rrange

    national-level

    engagements

    that help the
    CEOand the organization reach new audiences and

    demonstrate

    thought leadership around immigration and refugee issues.

    Build

    new relationships with key national

    and Baltimore

    events to help continue to reach new audiences

    .

    Oversee


    CEO
    social media

    accounts

    to ensure

    strong,

    creative, and

    positive visibility

    .

    Refine

    talkin

    g points

    ,

    speeches

    and presentations

    for

    internal and external

    events, in close coordination with the speechwriter.

    Broaden

    earned media

    pitching to

    land stories and features

    on

    issues cross-cutting the immigration and refugee space, including climate change and the economy

    .

    Management responsibilities as the team grows.

    Perform other duties as assigned

    .

    Qualifications

    5-7

    years

    serving as a publicist

    for high-profile c-

    suite

    executives

    who

    operate

    s

    in a

    fast-paced

    environment.

    Strong professional connections to national-level conferences and other thought leadership opportunities.

    Passionate

    about immigration and refugee issues and able to

    pitch complicated information in an easily digestible way.

    1-2 years of prior staff management experience required

    .

    Ability to pitch
    CEOfor events that reach new audiences that align with strategic

    objectives

    , including donor communities, affiliated organizations, and

    religious organizations

    .

    Superb editing and proofing skills; excellent oral & written communication skills

    .

    Efficient multitasking and time management abilities

    .

    Willingness to work outside of normal working hours as needed during emergencies or other breaking

    news.

    Entrepreneurial

    and creative to

    identify

    new thought leadership opportunities for the
    CEOand other leaders.

    Able to work collaboratively across the organization.

    Ability to travel up to 10% of the time

    .
