    Job Description

    Provo area surgery center seeks a circulating nurse (RN) to deliver safe, efficient care to individual surgery patients. The role requires acting as patient advocate, providing continuity of care through collaboration with the healthcare team and assessing pre-operative needs.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Prepare rooms, equipment, and supplies for procedures.
    • Open sterile packs and use surgeon's preference cards.
    • Conduct preoperative assessments, including identifying patients, determining plans of care, confirming consent, lab results, operative sites, and allergies.
    • Complete safe surgery checklists.
    • Accompany and care for patients throughout the surgical process.

    Requirements:

    • Licensed as a Registered Nurse in Utah.
    • CPR and ACLS certification.
    • Able to stand/walk at least 5 hours/day, lift/carry over 25 pounds regularly, and push/pull over 50 pounds frequently.
