    Job Description

    AECOM is seeking a RCRA Specialist IV for our Raleigh, NC location.

    The successful candidate will be knowledgeable in Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA) Laws and Regulations, Hazardous Materials Management, as well as provide environmental compliance projects for a broad range of clients


    Work assignments include:

    • Audits (RCRA and Multimedia)
    • Hazardous Waste Management Plans
    • Waste minimization plans
    • 1 hour and 8 hours RCRA training
    • 8-hour DOT training
    • Report preparation
    • Sampling
    • Field investigation
    • Community Involvement/outreach and Environmental Justice
    • RCRA Part B Permits


    The candidate will work productively in a collaborative team environment and demonstrate growth potential, along with the desire to learn.


    Typical work assignments include:

    • Develop plans, reports, and required documentation related to environmental audits and permits.
    • Prepare and give 8-hour RCRA and DOT training, and 1 hour awareness training.
    • Perform field work including inspections, investigations, surveys, and sampling.
    • Create sketches, diagrams, schematic drawings, and figures.
    • Perform work safely in accordance with an agreed upon budget and schedule.
    • Local travel is required. Non-local travel will be required for audits and other projects.
    Qualifications


    Minimum Qualifications:

    • BA/BS 6 years of experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
    • Due to the nature of work US Citizenship is required.
    • Valid Driver's License and must be able to pass AECOM's Motor Vehicle Records review.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • The ideal candidate will process a current 40-hour HAZWOPER certification.
    • Have 10 years of professional experience in the environmental trade.
    • Experience in SWPPP, SPCC, EPCRA, Phase 1 is desirable.
    • Multimedia experience
    • Project management experience
    • Having a current Certified Hazardous Materials Manager (CHMM) credential is highly desirable.
    • Experience with federal, DoD (especially Navy), and experience with Private/industrial companies.
    • Experience with providing training.

    Offered compensation will be based on location and individual qualifications. The expected range is $70, $120,000.00.
