Job Description

We are looking for a skilled and driven Staff Accountant experienced in tax preparation to join our team. The ideal candidate should possess a solid accounting background, exceptional attention to detail, and a commitment to providing outstanding client service. As a Staff Accountant, you will play a crucial role in supporting clients with their tax compliance requirements, generating precise financial statements, and offering valuable insights to assist their business goals.

Responsibilities:

Review and analyze accounting records, financial statements, taxes, and related reports
Prepare tax returns for individuals, corporations, and partnerships
Conduct thorough tax research and stay informed on tax regulations
Advise clients on tax planning strategies for minimizing tax obligations
Create financial statements and relevant schedules
Execute general accounting duties such as journal entries and reconciliations
Ensure effective communication with clients and team members to meet deadlines accurately
Utilize UltraTax software efficiently

Qualifications:

Hold a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field
Preferably possess a CPA certification or be progressing towards one
Have at least 2 years of experience in public accounting or tax preparation
Demonstrate proficiency in MS Office suite, particularly in Excel
Experience with UltraTax software would be advantageous
Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a dynamic environment
