- The Capitol Region Education Council (CREC) is seeking a highly qualified and innovative individual to serve as a Science teacher at the Impact Academy.
- The school desires to build-out a MakerSpace for project-based science learning to enhance student learning experiences.
- Applicants must possess the skills, knowledge, and desire to develop a hands-on experiential science course of studies to maximize student engagement
- Programming at the Impact Academy is built on a foundation of Positive Youth Development.
- This position will provide a unique opportunity for the teacher to build and implement an innovative STEM-based project-based learning curriculum that supports the well-being of the whole child through social-emotional and community connections.
- Prepare and deliver science-based project-based learning curriculum and instruction;
- Willingness to obtain CT drivers license endorsement to transport students in CREC vehicles.
- Connecticut State Certification (034 General Science, 7-12), (030 (Biology), 031 (Chemistry), 032 (Physics), & 033 (Earth Science) will be considered.
