    Description

    Are you looking to join a dynamic team? We are seeking a full time, direct hire Laboratory Technical Specialist in Schenectady, NY where you'll be ensuring seamless compliance with departmental procedures and policies.

    Job Summary:

    • Perform all duties of a Medical Technologist.
    • Responsible for technical aspects within the department, including:
    1. Regulatory compliance
    2. Computer file maintenance
    3. Procedure writing
    4. Quality control review
    5. Instrumentation maintenance
    6. Ongoing staff competency assessment
    7. Other essential functions defined by the Department Supervisor and Administrative Director.
    • Leverage technical expertise and leadership qualities to troubleshoot departmental challenges independently on a day-to-day basis.

    Requirements:

    • ASCP or AMT certification as a Medical Technologist is required.
    • Must hold a Clinical Laboratory Technologist license issued by the New York State Education Department.
    • Possess a Baccalaureate degree in Medical Technology or a related science field.
    • Previous experience as a Medical Technologist with proven expertise.
    • Meet the New York State Department of Health qualifications for Medical Technologist
