As we gear up for the busy season, we are looking for a dynamic individual who can contribute to the success of our kitchen team.

    Position: Sous Chef

    Location: Stella of New Hope, Bucks County, Pennsylvania

    Responsibilities:

    • Menu Preparation and Design: Collaborate with the Executive Chef in creating and refining food menus, ensuring a perfect balance of design and taste.
    • High-Quality Food Production: Take the lead in producing high-quality plates, adhering to the specifications and guidelines set by the Executive Chef.
    • Timely Kitchen Operations: Ensure the kitchen operates efficiently and meets quality standards in terms of both speed and precision.
    • Leadership and Coordination: Act as a strong leader in the kitchen, stepping in for the Executive Chef when necessary. Manage and train kitchen staff, establish working schedules, and assess performance.
    • Problem Solving: Resourcefully solve any issues that may arise during food preparation and take control of problematic situations.
    • Inventory Management: Order supplies to maintain appropriate inventory levels, ensuring smooth kitchen operations.
    • Sanitation and Safety: Enforce sanitation regulations and safety standards to create a clean and safe working environment.
    • Professional Conduct: Maintain a positive and professional approach when interacting with coworkers and customers.

    Skills:

    • Previous Experience: Proven experience as a Sous Chef in a high-end restaurant setting.
    • Culinary Expertise: In-depth understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures.
    • Management Skills: Excellent record of kitchen and staff management, including scheduling and performance assessment.
    • Problem Solving: Ability to handle emergency situations with accuracy and speed, providing effective solutions.
    • Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with best practices in the culinary industry.
    • Computer Skills: Working knowledge of various computer software programs, including MS Office and Aloha.
