Responsibilities:
The role of the Speech Language Pathologist is to assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient/family speech therapy needs for patients aged neonate/infant (birth to 1 year), pediatric (1-12 years), adolescent , adult years), and geriatric (over 65 years); maintains documentation on patient treatments.
Addresses educational needs for patients, families, and other health care providers; manages patient care assignments as well as other organizational tasks related to patient and departmental operations; acts in a clinical leadership role; applies knowledge of growth and development in patient interactions; performs other related duties as needed.
Qualifications:
Required:
Master Degree
Certified Speech Language Pathology (National) - Must obtain Certified Speech Language Pathology (National) within 24 months of hire.
Speech Language Pathology (KY)
Desired:
One year speech/language pathology in a healthcare setting.
Doctorate Degree
