    Description

    Position Summary:

    The Art Director is responsible for upholding the overall brand and delivering high quality creative materials on behalf of the organization and its programs. This individual should be skilled at all aspects of design, with deep expertise in developing brand identity & systems, along with digital marketing, advertising, and print. This role will entail communicating effectively with team members, as well as stakeholders in every department. This person should be able to think beyond a single channel of execution, identify new opportunities and execute on complex design and user-centric communication strategies. They should also be prepared to develop concepts and ideas, pitch to leadership, and create compelling, relevant, and meaningful work.

    Responsibilities:

    • Oversees all internal and external facing online and print creative materials from conception to final delivery; provides clear creative direction, guidance, and feedback to team members to ensure ability to meet organizational needs.
    • Ensures the brand standards are upheld through all materials, including those created for both internal and external stakeholders, and that all work is strategic, effective, and consistent.
    • Lead strategic design thinking and brainstorms, and work with team members to ideate solutions and creative ways to use design for storytelling.
    • Identify current design trends and stay up to date with brand standard releases.
    • Work efficiently to execute both simple and complex projects with complete understanding of audience and goals.
    • Develop files for digital and print while maintaining records of all work and work files.
    • Conceptualize and produce online and offline collateral for marketing and sales, including original campaigns, direct mail, brochures, print and banner ads, white papers, PowerPoint presentations and more.

    Requirements:

    • 8+ years of experience working as a Designer/Art Director
    • Expert Adobe Suite Skills
    • Solid understanding of design principles including spacing, layout, typography, and color theory
    • Practices ownership, takes accountability, and can manage projects, prioritize tasks, and deliver quality products on time.
    • A portfolio that displays a passion for great design and attention to detail
    • Experience with direct response and effective CTA strategies.
    • Ability to communicate well with team members and articulate rationale for design decisions.
    • The ability to work collaboratively in a creative team environment.
    • Relevant user interface design experience
    • Familiarity with protoype tools such as Figma, Invision, or similar is a plus.
