This is an amazing opportunity for a Senior Data Scientist to help solve the world's most critical energy problems to help enable a smarter distributed energy world.
The companies AI driven software platform allows utilities, electricity retailers, renewable energy project developers and energy service providers to deliver clean, affordable and reliable energy by managing networked distributed energy resources (DERs) in real time and at scale.
ResponsibilitiesDevelop and maintain the optimization models and software implementation that drives the companies predictive controls platform for managing distributed energy resources
Benchmark and debug critical issues with the algorithms and software as they arise
Contribute to improving scalability and reliability of the system
Work with product owners to develop new features and capabilities
Qualifications and Experience:
B.S., MS., or Ph.
D. in computer science, mathematics or related field
3+ years experience as Data Scientist or equivalent solving large optimization problems
Experience with optimization modelling languages and solvers (Pyomo, GAMS, Gurobi, Cplex etc)
Deep understanding of algorithms, data structures, performance optimization techniques, relational databases, and software development in a team environment
Excellent programming skills in Python
Energy Markets / Utilities experience preferred
