    Job Summary

    The Production Supervisor will oversee packaging operations in a food processing environment. This position is responsible for production yield, product quality, food safety, staffing, labor efficiency, resource (raw material) efficiency, and employee safety.

    Shift: second shift; Monday thru Friday with rotational weekends

    Essential Duties & Responsibilities

    • Oversees all production and sanitation activities during assigned shift
    • Ensures operational adherence to the production planning schedule
    • Monitors and tracks departmental KPI's and takes appropriate action to achieve production goals.
    • Executes corrective action to address production downtime.
    • Responsible for employee performance management and development
    • Creates the employee labor schedule and adheres to established labor utilization rates.
    • Provides facility wide leadership support as needed.
    • Leads Continuous Improvement initiatives for assigned areas
    • Partners with the maintenance team to coordinate maintenance activities.
    • Leads and promotes programs to support a proactive safety culture
    • Mentors and develops leadership talent within the organization

    Qualifications / Minimum Requirements

    • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience strongly preferred
    • 3+ years supervisory experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment
    • Food manufacturing experience preferred
    • Ability to read and interpret documents, manuals and instructions
    • Ability to calculate using whole numbers, fractions, decimals, and percentages
    • Proficient with ERP systems, Microsoft Office, JD Edwards
    • Valid driver's license and proof of minimum liability insurance coverage
