    Senior Project Manager

    Contract to Hire 3-6 months

    We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Project Manager to join our team and lead the successful execution of multiple projects in both business application and infrastructure areas.

    Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Manage multiple small, medium, and/or large-sized projects, ensuring successful delivery within scope, schedule, and budget constraints.
    • Initiate projects by understanding business problems and solution goals, defining project objectives in collaboration with key stakeholders, and creating comprehensive project charters.
    • Lead the creation of project work breakdown structures, oversee requirements gathering, and manage scope throughout the project lifecycle.
    • Develop and manage detailed project schedules, including task dependencies, milestones, and resource assignments.
    • Effectively manage project budgets, identify variances against baselines, and implement mitigation strategies.
    • Plan, organize, and manage testing activities, overseeing execution and defect management. At times, assist in creating test cases.
    • Identify and manage project risks and issues, performing ongoing risk analysis and applying appropriate mitigation strategies.
    • Plan and manage the project change control process, leading change impact analysis and managing the Change Control Board (CCB).
    • Plan and manage project implementation and user go-live, including creating and executing a comprehensive implementation plan and coordinating training and communication efforts.
    • Regularly communicate project status to all stakeholders, including C-level leadership.
    • Set clear expectations with stakeholders and continually manage and realign expectations as needed.
    • Build and grow business relationships critical to project success.

    • Highly proficient in understanding, analyzing, and synthesizing project details, both technical and business aspects, and articulating them to stakeholders at all levels.
    • Proactively discover, ascertain, and mitigate gaps, plan variances, impacts, and risks, influencing others through thoughtful questions.
    • Skillful in collaborating with business to develop and articulate business cases.
    • Evaluate project estimates to establish realistic and achievable goals.
    • Rationalize project costs and identify potential ways to minimize expenses.
    • Lead and elicit cooperation from others to resolve issues in a timely manner.
    • Proficient at performing what-if scenarios on scope, schedule, and budget to determine project impact.
    • Tailor communication content appropriately based on the audience.
    • Strong knowledge of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) methodologies and processes.
    • Adapt to shifting priorities, demands, and timelines through analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
    • Interpret communication styles of others from various disciplines and tailor communication accordingly.
    • Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills, with an ability to be influential, persuasive, encouraging, and compelling.
    • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication (written and oral) skills.
    • 3+ years of experience with IT Project Management software (e.g., JIRA, MS Project).

    Minimum Requirements:

    • 5+ years of direct work experience in an IT project management capacity, including all aspects of project planning and execution.

    Education Requirements:

    • Bachelor's or foreign equivalent degree in computer science, engineering, business, or a related technical or business field.
