    Summary:

    As a Database Administrator, you will be responsible for the performance, integrity, and security of the organization's databases. You will work closely with IT professionals and other stakeholders to ensure that the database systems meet business requirements and are properly maintained.

    Core Functions:

    Database Design and Implementation:

    • Collaborate with developers and system administrators to design and implement efficient and scalable database structures.
    • Ensure proper normalization and indexing of databases for optimal performance.

    Database Management:

    • Install, configure, and maintain database management systems (DBMS).
    • Monitor database performance and troubleshoot issues, optimizing queries and resolving bottlenecks. Perform regular database maintenance tasks, such as backups, restores, and recovery.

    Security and Access Control:

    • Implement and maintain database security measures to protect sensitive data.

    Data Integrity and Quality:

    • Establish and enforce data integrity constraints. Collaborate with data stewards to ensure the quality and accuracy of data.

    Performance Tuning:

    • Identify and address performance issues through tuning and optimization.
    • Conduct regular performance assessments and implement improvements.

    Backup and Recovery:

    • Develop and maintain backup and recovery procedures to safeguard data against loss or corruption. Test and validate backup and recovery processes.

    Minimum Required:

    • degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
    • experience as a Database Administrator or similar role.
    • in MS SQL Server database management.
    • understanding of database design, normalization, database security and optimization.
    • problem-solving and communication skills.
    • organized, and results-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
