- The Truck Driver Training Instructor will work with minimal supervision within the Dean of Manufacturing and Maintenance guidelines. The duties will include:
- Providing theory, range, and driving instruction to students.
- Inspecting and maintaining school vehicles and equipment.
- Maintaining student training records.
- Ensuring students adhere to the Trident Technical College's CDL safety.
- Discover Commercial Truck Driving at TTC
- Must be at least twenty-one (21) years of age.
- Hold a valid Class "A" South Carolina Commercial Driver's License with all necessary endorsements for the motor vehicle equipment being operated.
- Three (3) years of behind-the-wheel truck driving experience have logged at least 100,000 miles of over-the-road truck driving or have completed a certified truck driver training school.
- Candidates must provide a certified SLED criminal background check.
- Clean driving record.
- Possess a Department of Transportation (DOT) medical certification, and
- Drug screen.
- In addition to all the South Carolina Code of Regulations, Chapter 90, Article 2, Truck Driver Schools.

Minimum and Additional Requirements:
This position requires an associate degree in transportation management or business technology or a closely related field plus a minimum of three (3) years of proven behind-the-wheel truck driving experience or a high school diploma and five (5) years of proven behind-the-wheel truck driving experience to include training and assisting students in developing the skills necessary to obtain a Class "A" Commercial Driver's License (CDL).
