Job Summary and Qualifications

To provide continuous safe observation and monitoring of all telemetry patients. Identify and document rhythm or pattern changes from the cardiac monitor in the Telemetry patient.

What you will do in this role:

• Achieves professional goals set during previous evaluation period
• Demonstrates professional behavior and conduct at all times
• Demonstrates and maintains good employee/peer relationship and teamwork
• Demonstrates good communication and customer services skills with patients, families, physicians and healthcare team
• Demonstrates ability to consistently, safely and accurately perform technical skills, follow through and required documentation
• Prioritizes work duties and works well under stressful situations
•  Participates in Performance Improvement activities

What qualifications you will need:

•  Successful completion of validated Basic EKG proficiency exam.
• Basic Life Support (BLS)
• EKG monitoring Certification (ET, CMT-BC, NRCEKG, ECG-BC, NTT through the National Telemetry Association) preferred but not required on hire date.
• Obtain National Telemetry Certification (NTA) within 1 year of hire.
