- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with disabilities, in collaboration with parents, general education teachers, and other support staff
- Provide direct instruction and support to students with diverse learning needs, adapting teaching strategies and materials to meet individualized goals and objectives
- Utilize evidence-based practices and instructional techniques to address academic, behavioral, and social-emotional needs
- Monitor student progress through ongoing assessment and data collection, and adjust instruction and interventions as necessary
- Collaborate with colleagues and participate in team meetings to develop and implement effective strategies for inclusive education
- Communicate regularly with parents and caregivers to provide updates on student progress and collaborate on strategies for support and intervention
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education or related field
- Valid Ohio Intervention Specialist Teaching License
- Previous experience working as a Special Education Teacher in a school setting preferred
- Knowledge of special education laws, regulations, and best practices
- Strong organizational, communication, and collaboration skills
- Ability to differentiate instruction and provide accommodations and modifications to meet diverse student needs
