Maintenance Manager II at Vanderlande

Vanderlande's Services division provides a complete range of services for material handling systems at airports, including operation and maintenance, process optimization, and system upgrades. As a Maintenance Manager II, you will be responsible for overseeing the maintenance of the baggage handling system at Los Angeles International Airport (LAX).

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

Oversee site system maintenance for Individual Carrier System (ICS) and Passenger Boarding Bridges (PBB) under the direction of the Service Manager.
Manage a maintenance contract and lead a team in various activities.
Ensure adherence to health and safety protocols, training requirements, and company safety programs.
Administer CMMS documentation and improve maintenance personnel's capabilities.
Plan and manage resources for cost-effective maintenance execution.
Track Operational KPIs using SCADA, VIBES, ITMC, and other tools.
Conduct BHS assessments, root cause analyses, and maintain equipment cleanliness.
Collaborate with the Operations Manager and specialists for system readiness.

Required Education and Experience:

Minimum 5 years of experience in system operations management and leading teams.
Experience in Control Systems, industrial construction, or material handling industries.
Proven problem-solving skills and ability to simplify complexities.

Other Requirements:

Must be able to obtain and maintain an Airport I.D. Badge.

Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Mechanical or Electrical) preferred.
Prior experience in Airport and Warehouse Operations, conveyor services, or material handling.

Competencies:

Strong client interface and presentation skills.
Ability to multitask and demonstrate an entrepreneurial attitude.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools, organizational, and time management skills.
Strong work ethic, technical affinity, and creativity in problem-solving.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:

Full-time position, Tuesday to Saturday, 8:00 a.m. to 5 p.m., with expectations for 24/7 maintenance management.

Travel:

Up to 10% travel may be required.

Salary:

$87,300 - $106,700 annually.
