    Description
    Job SummaryThis position will weld, cut, and braze metal pieces and products by using flame-cutting and hand welding equipment. Job Duties and ResponsibilitiesReceives unfinished gaskets and work orders.
    Places unfinished, open ends of gasket together and welds. Actuates welding machine to join unfinished ends of gasket together to form required shapes in accordance with job requirements.
    Operates handheld grinder to remove excess slag from welded area of gasket.
    Utilizes Pi tape to assure gasket diameters are in accordance with work order specifications.
    Delivers welded gaskets to Grinder. Employee will be cross trained in different departments/areas.
    Employee will assist the department in training new others.
    Must have clear understanding and practice all safety rules and regulations.
    Must have clear understanding of Quality Policy and Quality System ProgramsMaintains a clean workstation.
    Job SpecificationsSkillsStrong verbal and written communication skills.
    Ability to remain organized.
    Basic understanding of records, inventories, and other routine documentation used in the department.
    Thorough understanding of warehouse procedures and regulations.
    EducationHigh school diploma or equivalent required.
    Welding Certificate a plus, but can be overlooked based on work experiences.
    Work Experience2+ years' experience in a manufacturing setting with 1 of those years as a welder.
    Physical RequirementsProlonged periods of standing and/or walkingMust be able to lift up to 20 pounds at a time. Ability to work in cold, hot and/or dusty environment, with noisy conditions.
    Must be able to weld components that are vertical, flat, or overhead.
    Must have enough manual dexterity and stability as required for precision work.
    Must be able to see details at close range.
    Must be able to traverse facilities and machinery by climbing, balancing, lifting, walking, stooping, and carrying materials.
