    Huntsville Hospital for Women and Children is recruiting a child neurologist to join our hospital employed established child neurology practice.

    Overview

    • Duties include outpatient clinic and serving as a consulting service for inpatients.
    • The office is conveniently located next to Huntsville Hospital for Women and Children.
    • There are teaching opportunities with University of Alabama Birmingham Medical School with both medical students and residents.
    • Applicants should be ABPN certified or, in the case of recent trainees, be board eligible in child neurology.
    • This is an employed position which offers a very competitive compensation package with base salary plus worked RVUs/productivity and quality incentives.
    • Pediatric neurology serves as a consulting service to the NICU, PICU, ER and pediatric floors.
    • The PICU and pediatric floor have multiple rooms for EMU monitoring.

    • Huntsville Hospital for Women and Children is a stand-alone facility that offers the region's most comprehensive and experienced maternal and child health programs.
    • The hospital is the only one of its kind in the region with a 55-bed Level III RNICU, 11-bed PICU, 16-bed Pediatric ER, 38-bed inpatient pediatric floor which is managed by pediatric hospitalists.
    • Average of 5,000 births a year and 16,000 admissions annually.
    • Huntsville Hospital for Women & Children is the only one of its kind in the region with a Level III NICU, pediatric surgery, a 16-bed Pediatric ER, 40-bed Pediatric Inpatient facility with pediatric hospitalists treating infants to 21 years of age and a St. Jude Children's Research Hospital affiliate clinics for Pediatric Hematology/Oncology. Teaching opportunities with UAB MS3/MS4 and Family Medicine Residents on campus.
