    Role:
    Consulting Specialist based out of the Northeast with travel to client sites


    Responsibilities may include:
    Conducting industrial hygiene exposure assessments (qualitative and quantitative)

    Conducting Health and safety auditing or assessmentsCreating industrial hygiene sampling strategiesCreating industrial hygiene sampling plansCreating or updating IH or Safety programs/proceduresWriting technical reports based on field workTraining and/or supervising junior staffRequired Qualifications:
    BA/BS in Industrial Hygiene, Environmental Health or related Industrial Hygiene/Occupational Health discipline.

    Minimum 1 year performing Industrial Hygiene Risk Assessments, Exposure Monitoring, Investigations, Suggesting and Establishing Exposure Controls, Utilizing and Maintaining IH Sampling and Analysis Equipment, Completing Technical Reports, and Maintaining Legal Documentation for all IH Related Activities.

    US Citizen (Homeland Security Requirement)Strong knowledge of health and safety regulations and ability to research regulations.

    Strong technical knowledge of industrial hygiene and safety principlesAbility to work as part of a team, both participating and learningStrong Technical Writing CapabilitiesAbility to Multitask, Track Projects, and Successfully Follow Up on Open Tasks to meet deadlinesAbility to Take Direction/Follow Direction/Be Trusted to Work Independently/know when to ask questionsStrong Communication SkillsAbility to wear a respirator and protective clothing, climb a ladder, and lift and carry up to 40 pounds, occasionallyAbility to visually inspect work areas, assess conditions of use, and use Industrial Hygiene related sampling equipmentStrong Microsoft Office skills and ability to learn new software such as Ajera, Workday, etc.


    Preferred Qualifications:


    Strong Customer Service SkillsExperience in pharmaceutical, industrial, petrochemical, technology/entertainment, healthcare industriesExperience Teaching or Speaking to Large GroupsCertified Industrial Hygienist (CIH), Certified Safety Professional (CSP), or planning to obtainWhat we offer:BSI offers a competitive salary, group-sponsored health and dental, short-term and long-term disability, a company-matched 401k plan, company paid life insurance, 11 paid holidays and 4 weeks paid time off.

    The salary for this position can range from $70,000 to $94,600 annually; actual compensation is based on various factors, including but not limited to, the candidate's competencies, level of experience, education, location, divisional budget and internal peer compensation comparisons.
