The Cannabis Control Division includes the Administrative Team, Licensing Unit, and the Inspection/Compliance Unit. The Administrative Team oversees the daily management of the division. DUTIES
Job Overview:
This position resides in the Cannabis Control Division of Department of Revenue. The Cannabis Lab Specialist performs a variety of duties assigned by management.
This position assists in overseeing projects related to quality assurance and laboratory system improvement functions with current and potential marijuana laboratories in Montana within the Marijuana Laboratory Program.
Duties include assisting with marijuana laboratory audits and compliance issues, assisting with the development and implementation of quality improvement projects internally and with external partners, researching best practices for marijuana testing and compliance, researching other state marijuana programs rules, analyzing and interpreting marijuana data, identifying data trends and compliance issues, and enforcement of ARMs.

This position may be eligible to work from an approved worksite within the state of Montana. This position would be required to report to a Department of Revenue office assigned by the supervisor.
Employees must meet and sustain Department of Revenue telework eligibility requirements and supervisor's approval to participate in the DOR Telework Program.
Training Assignment:
This agency may use a training assignment. Employees in training assignments may be paid below the base pay established by the agency pay rules. Conditions of the training assignment will be stated in writing at the time of hire.
