- Under the direction of the Nurse Manager, ensures adequate coverage, manages schedules and allocates efficiently to meet patient and physical needs.
- Provides direct care based on the patient's age, developmental level, and priorities
- Serves as a patient advocate throughout the entire surgical process, offering support before, during, and after surgery.
- Education: Completion of an accredited Nursing Program with an Associate's degree in Nursing is mandatory. A Bachelor's degree in Nursing is preferred.
- Registered Nurse RN Licensure: Must hold a valid and current Connecticut registered nurse licensure.
- Experience: A minimum of 2 years of experience in Operating Room nursing, specifically in Orthopedic or Spine/Neuro OR, is required.
- BLS or CPR certification: Current certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross is required.
- Requires the ability to practice utilizing the recommended standards and guidelines of the Association of Perioperative Registered Nurses (AORN).
- Experience Nurses with one (1) or more years of expertise receive additional hourly specialty pay, enhancing the base pay compensation.
