    Our client, a dynamic and impactful non-profit organization based in Baltimore, MD, is actively seeking a talented and dedicated individual to join their finance team as a Staff Accountant. This person will report to the CFO and be a part of a very collaborative accounting/finance team with a focus on the mission of the organization, and professional growth The organization itself is growing exponentially to this is a fantastic opportunity for a Staff Accountant to help build best practices in the finance team while also having the tools in place to be successful in the role. This position is in office near the Canton area steps away from restaurants, bars, shopping, etc.

    Staff Accountant Responsibilities:

    • As a Staff Accountant with our client, you will play a crucial role in the day-to-day financial operations, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
    • Perform general accounting duties, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and month-end close processes.
    • Assist in the preparation of financial statements and reports.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide financial support and analysis.
    • Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, ensuring adherence to accounting principles.
    • Participate in audits and assist in the implementation of internal controls.
    • Contribute to the development and improvement of accounting processes.

    Staff Accountant Qualifications:

    • Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance
    • A minimum of 3 years of relevant accounting experience.
    • Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
    • NFP industry experience a plus.
    • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
    • Proficiency in Sage Intacct and a plus
    • Detail-oriented with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
